DreamHost rules! :)

Here's why:

1. I'm using it.
2. I can add unlimited domains & sites
3. Did I tell you I'm using it? lol

P.S. All my blogs are hosted at DH.

I actually like dreamhost, hostgator and bluehost out of the list you have. I currently have bluehost and they are a great service. They have everything you could want and little or no down time. Dreamhost and HostGator are both great in that they both went green and buy renewable energy credits to run their servers. I would recommend all three.

One last comment about 1and1. The PA. BBB lists them as "Unsatisfactory." Investigative journalist, Kelli Jacks, has a suit pending against them. Kelli states: "1and1 should be shut dowhn,"

You have discussed very reasonable hosting features when you are going to hire any webhost for your personal blogs.

I'd have to say that the most important thing I look for in a hosting provider is that they have Fantastico installed. It just makes things a whole lot easier.

If you have domains listed with 1and1, and you chose to let domains expire on their renewal dates, 1and1 punishes the customer by unlocking the domains. I guess this is to make it easier for people to steal them.
Also it takes 8 separate steps, by trial and error, to even find the site to indicate your renewal choice.
I don't have any beef with 1and1's web hosting. However, I curse the day I ever listed any domains with them. Check out Red Flag for some customer comments.
I do owe them one thing, now I know what hell must be like.
They made over 30 mistakes on an invoice and would only credit me for 18. They are renewing domains that are not even listed on the renewal site. How do you indicate you do not want a domain renewed if it isn’t even on the list? I called and they said they would look into it, but never got back with me.
I refused to keep this up and refused to pay the invoice, so they locked my account. But they keep sending me notices about domains that are coming up for renewal. I can’t access my account to stop the renewals so they keep renewing when I don’t want them.
It should be a warning that when their phone is answered by a recording that tells you if you have gotten a notice from NCO, a collection agency, to press a certain number. If they are a reputable business, why do they have to send so many accounts to a collection agency?

I have used GoDaddy for about 2 years now for both domain registration and hosting. Within the 2 years I have only had a few minor problems that occured last month which took a few days to fix. Luckily I am/was still in the process of developing the sites so even though they were down, it isn't like I lost any money considering I have no traffic to them yet.

I just recently purchased a Baby hosting plan with HostGator as well to setup a new niche blog and test out cPanel. cPanel seems to be a lot easier to work with compared to GoDaddy's custom setup. I have heard a lot of great things about HostGator so hopefully I don't run into any major problems with them.

I run a web hosting review site and I have some of the hosts listed on my site that you listed here. If you'd like you can check it out at http://www.webhostsdeals.com and leave a review so that others can read up on how well the web hosts actually perform.
