Let’s say for the sake of this post that you woke up this morning and found yourself without a job and just enough money on-hand to last a week before the Wolf came calling at your door. Let’s also pretend you know nothing or very little about internet marketing or affiliate programs.

Could you make enough money online in a week to buy your Families groceries? Could you make enough to pay your electric bill?

Believe it or not, many people find their self in this situation or one very close to it every day.

Here are 7 Techniques you could use to put some cash in your pocket within a week working online.

1. One word. Ebay. There are so many ways to make money with ebay that it isn’t funny. Ebay has allowed many people who would not have been able to support their self or their Families to make more than enough money to live well. One technique that I used when I was between jobs many years ago was to visit Garage sales and Estate auctions and buy products to sell on ebay. You have have a good idea what something is worth in order for this to work. Looking at something and saying “Oh, this looks like it’s valuable” isn’t good enough. You’ll wind up with a house full of junk! Another quick cash generator is buying products on deep discounts at local stores or online deal sites like FatWallet.Com and SlickDeals.Net and reselling them on ebay. Many stores have “discount bins” full of ebay items. Our local Tractor Supply store is always a source of good products with their discount box at the front door. You can also offer to list other people’s stuff on ebay or craigslist. The opportunities are nearly endless! BTW, Cosco and Sam’s Club are also good sources for items to sell on eBay!
2. The same technique you use for ebay can also work rather well with online Classifieds. If you don’t want to pay ebay to auction off your items, then use Craigslist or an online classified site like U.S. FreeAds. Most communities also have free classified sites in their area and you can also check out the Newspaper sites in your region. They’re a great source for products and a source to list your products. Plus you can get cash faster than waiting on an auction to end on ebay.
3. Got a Blog? If you have a blog or website targeting local or regional readers in your area, then you have a great source to make easy money by selling ads on those sites to local business’s. You don’t have to have a humongous site like Shoemoney.com to make bank! In fact, your site that targets local readers is prime real estate for local businesses because you have a targeted market that comes to you faithfully for information. Car dealers, service companies and many other small businesses are just chompin’ at the bit to advertise on websites like yours!
4. Become a local Online Go-To Guru. Do you know how to do one thing on the Internet well? Do you know how to sell items on ebay? Make a basic website? Graphics? List products and services on Craigslist? There are a zillion and one small businesses out there that would love to be online but their owners do not have the time or know-how to get their businesses online. This is where you come in! There are also many people who would love to know how to use ebay, Craigslist or how to surf for coupons and other bargains on the Internet. Offer to teach them…for a price!
5. Are you a Photographer? There are several freelance photography websites on the Internet where you can sell your photo’s. You don’t have to be a Professional either. Just as long as your photo’s are clear and eye catching, you can sell them on sites like iStockPhoto.com. There’s a huge demand for stock photography and illustrations. You might as well get your share of the cash! There’s also a huge market for other types of photo’s, but I’ll let you figure those out for yourself
6. Can you type a sentence? A lot of stay at home Moms make some extra cash by typing articles and selling them online. Digital Point, SitePoint and other Internet forums are good places to start looking. They have categories in these online forums especially for people looking for Content writers. You can also advertise your services locally in Craigslist. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have an English major, so long as you can type a conversation you can sell content.
7. Set up a local directory site. I’m telling you people something right now. I think the future of the Internet is in the local markets. Remember when the Internet got off the ground and the buzz word was “Think Globally?” I’m going to tell you now to “Think Locally!” There is no reason you can’t get some cheap hosting, grab a directory script and create a local directory. You can be selling ads to local businesses before the week is out. Poof. Done. You could also start a local newsletter, but you’ll have to have a subscription base first.

Whether you’re a college student needed a few extra bucks for the keg party, a stay at home Mom who needs some extra cash for the heating bill or just found out your company doesn’t need your services any longer, you can use the techniques above to help bring home the bacon.

There is no reason anyone has to lay back and go broke. I’ve known people who were dead ass broke and would not lift a finger to do anything except complain about being out of a job and having no money.

There are opportunities all around us to make money online. It’s up to you to get up and do it though, no one else will do all the work!

Some online entrepreneurs have used the above techniques plus others to start part time cash businesses and grew them into small fortunes. You don’t have to become the next Donald Trump, but there is no reason why you can’t make a few buck per week to live off of if you had to.
