Joel Comm will be live on the Houston Radio Wednesday. Joel is the author of the New York Times Best Seller “The Adsense Code“. We have a local Tech guy with a 1 hour morning radio show 5 days a week here in Houston. He’s scored a interview with Joel Comm. The interview will be sometime between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Central time on 950 KPRC. I’m sure it will only be 1 segment, not the whole hour.

The Host’s name is Michael Garfield, better know around these parts as the High-Tech Texan. Michael also has video conferencing enabled while doing his morning show for those of you who like doing such things.

May 25th, 2007 · 7 Comments

Every since I put up The Ultimate List of Adsense Ready Wordpress Themes, I’ve received some emails asking how to change the Adsense codes in the Themes.

It goes without saying, I hope so anyways, that you’ll need an Adsense account. If not, go get one first before trying this.

I’m going to try and explain it here, step by step.  For this example, I’ll be using the Ads Minded Theme.

1. Choose an Adsense Ready Wordpress Theme. You can get one by cliking the link above.

The Ultimate List Of Adsense Ready Wordpress Themes

May 15th, 2007 · 36 Comments

Let’s face it, Adsense is the simplest affiliate marketing program there is. (although technically Adsense is not an affiliate marketing program, but don’t tell anyone)

The easiest way to incorporate Adsense into your site is an Adsense Ready Wordpress Theme. I use a variety of Wordpress Themes for Adsense. The one I choose depends on the type of blog I running. I’ve compiled this Ultimate List of Adsense Ready Wordpress Themes for your enjoyment.  I have to be honest and say the idea for this list came about when I saw Dosh Dosh’s list of 17 Adsense Ready Wordpress Themes and realized I had those plus a few more in my folders and bookmarks. I just didn’t realize how long it would take to put this list together!

Google Loves Us…Google Loves Us Not…Google Loves Us…

January 20th, 2007 · No Comments

This story is like an old episode of “As The World Turns”. A few days ago I posted about Googles updated Adsense TOS and how they were tightening up the TOS and how it seemed they were trying to nudge out the competition and force publishers to choose between the higher paying Adsense and the newer and start up contextual networks like YPN and MSN.

Jensense spoke with Brian Axe (the senior product manager on the Google Adsense Team) and he told her:

Google Adsense - Google Adsense Choking Off Competition

January 18th, 2007 · No Comments

Google Adsense TOS has been updated and things are getting a little tougher for Adsense publishers.

Competitive Ads and Services In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.

From where I’m sitting, it looks like Google is forcing publishers to choose between Adsense or YPN or MSN. Google knows they have a huge majority of the marketshare in this sector and that most of us will choose Google Adsense over the others.
