WordPress. If there is an easier blogging platform that allows one to monetize their blog, I don’t know about it and seriously, I doubt it exist.

Plugins are what makes the WordPress blogging platform so powerful in my opinion, and now I have a list of 5 WordPress Plugins that can make your blog profitable!

Adsense-Deluxe – This is the Mac Daddy of WordPress Plugins to monetize your WordPress blog. This plugin allows you to insert adsense into your post easily. I’ve also been told that you can insert the Adsense-Deluxe code into the template to have Adsense ads show up where you want them, but I haven’t tried this technique yet. Once you learn advanced adsense stradegies from books like “Adsense Secrets”, you’ll be able to customize your site for increased profits.

Content is King as they say. And fresh content with the latest news and information is the Ruler of the Internet World. But finding constant content can be a problem. Here are a few place I come up with content for my blogs and websites.

Google Hot Trends

Google Hot Trends replace Google Zeitgeist. I frequented zeitgeist to see what people were searching for on Google. Maybe it’s me, but I prefered Zeitgeist over Hot Trends. Anyhow, you can still find the most searched for words and phrases on Google. From there it’s pretty simple to research out new information for your chosen keywords.

I didn’t have much time last week to surf a lot of blogs and websites, however when I did get the time, I found some really good ones IMHO.

DoshDosh as usual had a great article on finding and targeting longtail keywords for more search engine traffic.

I found Shoemoney’s post about firing someone really interesting, especially since he list all the previous jobs he’s had and how many times he was fired. Brutal honesty on his part!

Courtney Tuttle is starting a new project. He’s starting a blog from scratch and will be taking his readers through blog building and monetization step by step. It should be real interesting to watch him lay it out.
