Anyone who’s read this blog long enough knows I think good ebooks are worth the money you pay for them. I know a lot of people scoff at eBooks saying “You can find all that info on the Internet for free.” Which, in most cases you can. The question then becomes one of “How much freakin’ time do you have to hunt down all this information?”

Good eBooks put all the information in one spot for you to easily find and work with. This saves you a lot of time. Time you could be using to make money on the internet instead of searching for answers on how to do it. Time is money with affiliate marketing!

I don’t recall how I found Jeremy Palmer’s blog “QuitYourDayJob.Com“, but I did. It was probably one of those mindless afternoons where I was surfing the Internet instead of doing the Honey-Do’s around the house.

However I found his eBook, I found it. Then, while checking out his site, I followed a link to his ebook “High Performance Affiliate Marketing“.

I thought “Oh great, another ‘how to become a super affiliate’ ebook”.

I scanned through the sales letter. I have to admit, it was good enough to peek my interest.

I knew I shouldn’t have read the ad copy…I’m a sucker for a good sales letter, even when I know I’m being sold something. I Googled “Jeremy Palmer” and did some research and found he was on the up and up. The Real Deal. An honest-to-gosh Super Affiliate. Back to his landing page I went and ordered the $49.99 ebook.

This is a 140 page eBook and so I sit down and dove right in (those honey-do’s could wait a little longer)

Who Is Jeremy Palmer And Why Should I Care About His eBook?

Jeremy Palmer is a guy who went from making 178k per year in Affiliate Marketing in 2004 to making over 1.4 million in Affiliate Marketing last year! He also travels around the World as a seminar speaker on Affiliate Marketing and PPC advertising.

Jeremy is also a Commission Junction “Horizon Award Winner” as well as a “Certified Commission Junction Performer.” Which basically means they grovel at his feet because he makes them a lot of money selling products and services through their Affiliate Network.

Reason enough for me to sit up and take notice!

What I liked, What I Didn’t

I have to admit, the book starts at the basics of affiliate marketing, what it is, building a website,etc. If it’s one negative I have about this ebook, it’s that I had to wade through a lot of stuff I already knew. Of course, this book is written so that a beginner can pick it up, follow the examples given and start turning profits in a reasonable amount of time, but I didn’t care. I hate reading through stuff I already know…lol

Many readers, both new affiliate marketers and those who have been struggling with affiliate marketing for some time, will benefit greatly from Section 2, Finding Profitable Affiliate Opportunities.

Section 4, Build A Website That Sells, will also benefit many affiliate marketers.

I was skim reading pretty heavy through the first part of the book until I came to the section on Keyword research. I’ve always wanted to learn how the Super Affiliates used different keyword research techniques and tools.

This eBook answered many questions that I had about good quality Keyword Research and how the Super Affiliates go about finding those honkin’ huge keyword list that they use to generate thousands of dollars.

The next item to catch my eye was the section covering Pay Per Click advertising. Many Super Affiliates such as Jeremy use PPC to drive massive amounts of targeted traffic to their optimized landing pages which in turn convert that traffic into buyers.

I’ve been successful with PPC in building small business’s. However, using PPC to bring in those hordes of targeted traffic for affiliate marketing websites is a different game.

I started taking notes in the chapters on PPC. The light bulb quickly went on as I read through the chapters and took notes. It was like I finally found the missing link in what separates the mediocre affiliate marketer and the Super Affiliates!

The sections on Landing Pages and Landing Page Tips will also be very helpful to someone starting in PPC.

In Summary

In summary, this eBook is certainly worth the $49 price tag. It will take you from the very basics of Affiliate Marketing to Advanced Strategies like PPC and building Optimized Landing Pages.

It also has a section on good SEO practices which all Affiliate Marketers should know if you expect to get free traffic from the Search Engines.

The eBook also comes with 4 Excel Spreadsheets that Jeremy uses in his own business. These spreadsheets will help you track your conversions, find your profitable keywords, determine your ROI for each keyword and compare profitable merchants with affiliate programs.

If you’re new to Affiliate Marketing, this eBook will shorten the learning curve for you. If you’ve been in Affiliate Marketing a while but have not made the amount of money that you feel you should be making, this eBook will help answer your questions and show you where you need to improve.
