Hey, I’m back behind the keyboard. It’s time to get caught up on some affiliate marketing!

I’m going to start off by telling all you people who are new to affiliate marketing about a 30 Day Challenge you really need to be taking part of. Especially if you’re new to affiliate marketing or have had trouble making money from affiliate marketing.

I’ve told you in the past about the 30 Day Challenge. This year, it starts August 1st and the “pre season” has already started.

If you’re beginning in affiliate marketing, it’s worth your time to go over and sign up. Even if you’ve been around a while, watch the video’s. I’m sure you’ll pick up some good money making ideas.

Dan Raines and Ed Dales have been showing people how to make money with affiliate marketing for many years now.

It was only a few years ago that Dan ran the 15 day challenge, where he tried to make 15 thousand dollars in 15 days. And he almost succeeded! I learned a lot of useful tricks from that challenge.

The 30 Day Challenge site already has some very good videos up. You’ll get instant access to these video’s as soon as you sign up. For you that are just starting, I’d suggest starting at the beginning. For those of you who need a few tips, just browse through the lessons until you find the subject you need to brush up on.

The goal, as usual, is to take you from nothing and show you the basics of affiliate marketing. They’ll be taking you by the hands and teaching you every step. The lessons available will take you from nothing to showing you how to make your first $10 within 30 days.

I know, $10 dollars doesn’t sound like much. But you have to start somewhere. This is the problem with many new affiliate marketers. They want to start one day and think they should be earning $1000 per day by the end of the week!

The truth is, if you don’t have the skills to legitimately make $10 with affiliate programs, you’ll never make your first $1000. And that is what the 30 Day Challenge is all about, giving you the skills to make your first $10 which then gives you the confidence and skills to make much more.

I can’t tell you how many emails I get from people who want to know the “secret” of making money with affiliate marketing. If you suggest they try to make $10 in 30 days, they come back with something like “Oh, I can do that, but what I need to know how to make enough to live on.”

When asked further questions, I find out that they haven’t even taken the first step in building a website or choosing an affiliate program. These are the people who will more than likely never make it in affiliate marketing.

In my opinion, the best thing about the 30 Day Challenge is the members forums. Here you have many like minded people, many who are already successful in affiliate marketing, helping beginners and throwing out ideas. You’ll be exposed so many different ways to make money with affiliate programs it will make your head spin.

Go ahead and sign up for the 30 Day Challenge by going to http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com. Give it an honest try and I’ll think it will answer many of your questions and open your eyes to some of the “secrets” to affiliate marketing.

Top Web hosting affiliate programs are some of the highest paying affiliate programs around. Now before you run off and start signing up under every web hosting affiliate program you can find, let me tell you that it’s also one of the most competitive. You’d better have a game plan and some deep pockets or great resources before you decide to tackle this industry.

If the truth were known, most people make little money off of Web Hosting affiliate programs. Most bloggers and some Webmasters just stick a banner or text link from their host provider on their sites and get a few conversions over a period of time.

Unless you’re prepared to enter the affiliate marketing hell, that’s probably the best way to do it!

Note: Click on the link if you’re looking for reviews about blog web hosting providers.

How I chose the 21 Top Paying Web Hosting Affiliate Programs

It would have been easy to just search web hosting companies and find who pays the most and stick their names here. But there’s more to choosing a winning affiliate program than simply picking the company that pays the most.

Even if you have a Web Host provider paying $200 per sign up, it doesn’t mean squat unless they can convert traffic!

Here are the factors I looked at when choosing the 21 Top Paying Web Hosting Affiliate Programs.

I only went with web hosting companies that were under affiliate networks (CJ has the most that I’m aware of). When I go looking at stats, I want to go to only a few websites, not 10 or 15 different sites to see how much money I’ve made. Plus I feel like (for the most part) that the Networks will keep the Web Host honest as far as reporting goes. (I know for a fact that Sharasale will)

I looked at the 3 month Network earnings for each provider. Any affiliate program can have a few big sales in a week that will inflate their 7 day earnings per click. I want to see how a program has performed over time. A high Network earnings number means there are people making money from the affiliate program.

Not all Networks report reversals. Shareasale does and I take that into account when I can find the number. What good is it if you make 90 sales and have 89 of them reversed?

Terms. Some web hosting companies make it easy to make a sale. Some make it difficult plus some only pay on a hosting sign up while others pay you on everything from Domain names to SSL certificates. Some will not allow you to use PPC and some will not let you use email. It pays (pun intended) to read the terms before signing up!

Of course I looked at how much each company pays per sign up. That should be the last number you look at. There are companies paying out $150 per sign up, but their websites don’t convert. Then you may have a company who only pays out $75, but their sites converts you traffic into sign ups like crazy. Who would you rather be signed up with?

Referal length. Sometimes a person doesn’t sign up right away with a web hosting company. It may take them a month or more to decide to buy web hosting. If they go to your web host 32 days after their first visit and sign up for web hosting, I want that commission! I like long referral periods!

So, without further ado…drum roll please…I bring you AffiliateWatcher.Com’s pick of the 21 Top Paying Web Hosting Affiliate Programs! (in no certain order)

Okay, so there you have it. My pick of the 21 top paying web hosting affiliate programs. Remember, do your research before joining up. You can also go to most of the Web Hosting company web site’s and join there, although you won’t be joining through an Affiliate Network in most cases.

You should only pick one or two Web Hosting companies to begin with. It will be easier to track the stats and make sales. Good luck and I hope you’ve found this list helpful!

Like it or not, there are few steps we can take to protect our content from scrapers.

I’ve spent a good amount of time fighting for my content when I find it on other sites. Many of these sites use RSS feeds to steal content. Yeah, there are a few things you can do, but is it really worth all the time and trouble it will cost you?

Here’s what you need to know.

If you post to your blog often, Mr. Googlebot will visit often. Googlebot visits my site at least once every other day. There are times it comes around every day. It loves fresh content!

Having said that, I do have a few blogs that I let slide without making post to them over a several week span. Googlebot slowed visits to these blogs, to a point where it was only visiting every other week or so.

What does this have to do with Scraped content?

You’ve probably heard about Google and the duplicate content penalty…right? Many people will tell you not to worry about stolen content because you published your article first.

Well, that may or MAY NOT be true. If you publish a blog post and it is indexed in Google first, then you generally have nothing to worry about.

However, if you do publish it first and Googlebot doesn’t visit you often and in the meantime your content is scraped and Googlebot visits the scraper site before it visits your site, guess who has the duplicate content then?

How I’m Dealing With Scraped Content

Honestly, I’m not worrying about it much.

What I am doing though is letting the scrapers help me.

What I’ve done with sites that are being scraped but not being visited often by Googlebot is that I’m putting a lot of links in the blog post.

Normally when your content is scraped, it’s being done automatically. The program sucks up all you content on the page including links and sometimes even photo’s. Now when your content is spit out on the scraper sites, there are links in the content pointing back to your site (if you put them in). There are a few scraper programs that strip out links, but from what I’m seeing, most don’t.

And…if you put your affiliate program links in your content, you now have some affiliate links on those sites as well.

But Aren’t All Scraper Sites Low Quality Sites That Don’t Make It Into Google’s Index?

Ahhh…I see you’ve been listening to Google lately. This is what Google would love for you to believe. But it’s not true.

If you Google often, how long has it been since you’ve come across a scraper site that was listed high in the rankings? I found several this morning while searching for some Sports news!

Okay, okay. So all these sites aren’t going to be PR 6 and PR 7′s listed at the top of the SERPS. That’s okay. However you will get a little link love from many of these scraper sites, especially if they’ve been around a while.

I’ve proven this technique with two sites that I knew were getting scraped.

Sure, I’d love it if we didn’t have to deal with these kinds of issues, but we do. So we might as well try and make the best of it when it happens. I don’t know about you, but I’m too busy to spend hours on end hunting down my scraped content and threatning the site owner.

As the old saying goes, shut down 1 scraper site and 10 more takes it place!
