There are several companies where they outsource this type of work as well as other tedious, time consuming chores such as product testing, online surveys, online mystery shopping and other. 3. Become an Online Researcher - This will entail you signing up with a company that provides research and survey’s to Corporations about their products and services. Once you sign up, you’ll then have an opportunity to take survey’s. These are appointed points. For each survey you complete, you’ll get the allotted amount of points. You have have a good idea what something is worth in order for this to work. Looking at something and saying “Oh, this looks like it’s valuable” isn’t good enough. 5. Are you a Photographer? There are several freelance photography websites on the Internet where you can sell your photo’s. You don’t have to be a Professional either. Just as long as your photo’s are clear and eye catching, you can sell them on sites like iStockPhoto.com. There’s a huge demand for stock photography and illustrations. You might as well get your share of the cash! There’s also a huge market for other types of photo’s, but I’ll let you figure those out for yourself
6. Sell your Service. Do you know how to use a specific program inside and out? Can you take QuickBooks or any of the MS Office programs and make them beg for mercy? Then you have skills that are in need. Places such as eLance, RentACoder and others have forums set up to help you sell your services. Some of these pay really well also, they’re worth checking out if you need some quick cash!
7. Set up a local directory site. I’m telling you people something right now. I think the future of the Internet is in the local markets. Remember when the Internet got off the ground and the buzz word was “Think Globally?” I’m going to tell you now to “Think Locally!” You treat your local market like a Niche, which it is. Build a Niche site about your local area and charge advertising or use Adsense. The best training I’ve seen is over at The Keyword Academy. I dismissed blogging in general because it takes some time to learn how to make money fast (the exception is local websites and blogs, see below). I assumed the emailer needed to find ways to make money fast.

Here are my suggestions to the emailer.

1. Project Payday: A few months ago, I experimented with a way to make money quick online with a program called Project Payday. I took a day and researched this project online. Seemed real people were making real money with it. Not getting rich, but making enough extra money quickly to pay some bills or other stuff. 4. Make Money On Ebay - There are many ways to make money with eBay. It seems that the 2 most popular ways are either by going to Garage Sales or Estate Sales and buying stuff to resell. You can make some decent money this way. Back in 2001 I did this same thing for several months and I made around 1-1600 per month. But it was long hard work making all those auctions or driving around looking for deals at Garage sales. Another way that is becoming more and more popular is people starting their own online stores with the help of eBay. 5. Become an Online Tutor – I’m not sure what this pays, but I’ve known people in the past who have worked with companies like e-Tutor, SmartThinking and Tutor.Com. Online tutoring is an in-demand service and growing all the time. If you like helping others learn, this could be just the ticket for you. You will have to set aside a certain number of hours per week, anywhere from 2 hours on up on average depending upon which service you go with.
6. SwagBucks – Although you can’t make money directly with Swagbucks, you can earn free gift cards and merchandise. My Wife uses Swagbucks as well and loves getting the Amazon.com gift cards to get stuff from Amazon, but Swagbucks has their own catalog of nice products. In fact, she has gotten some nice jewelry from them for her and our daughter. The way this works is that you earn points by browsing the Internet using the SwagBucks tool bar (downloading is easy, free and you’ll rack up points faster by using it to search the Internet with) and doing other things like taking polls and survey’s or watching video’s. I know several people who get their free merchandise like jewelry or electronics and then turn around and sell them for a nice profit on Ebay and Craigslist. If you surf the web a lot, then this may be just the thing for you. I sign in every time I surf the Internet or shop online and my points rack up fairly quick. 7. Become an Online Juror – Even Lawyers need to practice! There are places such a eJury and TrialJuries.Com that stage mock trials. The Jurors get paid anywhere from $5 to $60 depending on how complex the case is. There’s no guarantee you’ll get a case, but it has to better than cleaning up after the old folks at the Senior Citizen Center! Many colleges have access to these mock jury trials, but from what I’ve been told, they don’t pay as much as the online jury pools. Also, as with anything in life, if you slack off on the Jury, don’t expect to be called back. The more you pay attention and get involved, the more likely they’ll “keep your name around.”

Some college students show up on the first day in a bright shiny BMW convertible. Those are the ones who do not need help. For most College Students, a few extra dollars a month goes a long ways in making it easier to study for their classes. If you’re in a pinch, there’s no need to run down to the Blood Center to give blood, just turn your computer on and go to work with these quick and simple ways to make money fast.

Spring and Summertime are the traditional times when people start thinking about Hiking, Camping, Boating, Fishing, Bicycling and RV Trips. It should also be the time you start thinking about targeting these hardie souls with your affiliate programs as they invade the Great Outdoors.

Here are a few Merchants that service the Outoor Adventurer that I’m familiar with.

Bass Pro

Bass Pro Shops has is the Big Boy on the block when it comes to Outdoor gear. You’ll find gear for all types of activities. Bass Pro’s Affiliate Program pays 5% on orders. The advantage of Bass Pro is they have a household brand name amoung outdoor adventure seekers.

They provide tracking and do not limit your earnings.

The do have a list of keywords that they will prohibit you from outbidding them on.

Bass Pro is part of the CJ affiliate network.

Duluth Trading

Duluth trading is a catalog and internet retailer. Duluth Trading carries a variety of unique and innovative tools and clothing for the Blue collar working guy and gal, many of their products are used while enjoying the Outdoors (I buy a lot of stuff from them myself).

Duluth Trading pays 10% on every sale.

They offer an online management system that allows you to add links to your site, access your sales history, and track your earnings.

Duluth Trading is an independent comapny and runs its affiliate program in-house.

Cabela’s

Cabela’s is in the same league as Bass Pro Shops. They’re a huge retail and online retailer that serves the outdoor community with quality products. You may be able to find Cabela’s affiliate program through Performics, but at last check I was unable to locate their program there. It may be that they’ve dropped their affiliate program all together.

Although I buy a lot of my outdoor gear through Cabela’s, and have for more than 20 years, I don’t know a lot about their affiliate program because I’ve stopped using Performics.

Boaters World

Boaters World sells what you’d think a store with a name like Boaters World sells, stuff for Boaters! (go figure)  Boaters World pays a straight 6% commission on all shipped orders.

Boaters World is part of the CJ Network.

A nice thing about Boaters World is the products they carry have a higher average price than many other Outdoor related merchants. I know I’m guilty of buying expensive boat equipment, just ask my wife!

I particularly like Boaters World because they offer many incentives to get your customers to buy. Things such as no shipping fee for orders over $100, no payments for up to 6 months with the Bill Me Later program, clearance items and seasonal offers.

LandBigFish.Com

LandBigFish.Com is one cool ecommercie website with a very cool affiliate program. It gives you several ways to make some moolaw!

The carry fishing gear including fishing lures and tackle.

With LandBigFish.Com you’ll earn 5% of any order placed through their online tackle store. Their average order is $60. You’ll also get $1.00 for every confirmed registered member you send their way and $.05 for everyone who signs up for one of their newsletters.

LandBigFish.Com is an indepedant affiliate program. 

Sierra Trading Post

Sierra Trading Post has an excellent reputation in the affiliate marketing world. They pay you what they say when they say it. Their affiliate staff is dedicated to helping you push more product.

You’ll earn between 5 and 10% of orders shipped.

Sierra Trading Post was out front in the anti-parasite movement some time ago.  At one time in the past, I remember them stating that they actually removed affiliates from their program due to parasite infractions. That’s says something about their integrity.

Besides that, Sierra Trading Post has some cool outdoor gear!

Ron Kirk Shooting Supplies

The Ron Kirck site has over 155,000 items for sale online. They mainly carry shooting supplies.

They pay on a scale that starts out at 6% and goes up to 8%. They also have specials & coupons on a regular bases to get traffic to your site. They provide their affiliates with a datafeed that contains thousands of prodcuts.

Ron Kirk is part of the CJ Network.

Brigade Quartermaster

BQ as it’s called, carries a huge selection of military surplus items as well as new items. BQ is part of the LinkShare Affiliate Network.

BQ pays up to 5% commission on sales generated through your website.

BQ’s unique and unusual product line can be a real winner if you have a niche in this sector of the consumer market. This niche would include campers and outdoor related consumers as well as paramilitary groups, survivalist and the “back to nature” types.

U.S. Calvary

U.S. Calvary carry’s both military gear as well as gear for law enforcement. As with BQ, a lot of this gear can cross over into Outdoor use and many of their customers are members of both groups.

U.S. Cav pays 3% of items sold through your site. They are a part of the CJ Network. While 3% may not sound like a lot, their prices are on the low side, which can translate into more sales than other retailers carrying the same equipment but at a higher price.

Well, there you have it. Some nice affiliate programs to make a little scratch with the outdoor sector. Many of you could find something in the list above to add to your offerings. You could also open up another section of your sites. Maybe with a “Outdoor Clothing” section or “Military Surplus”.

Generally, making money online is a long term project. No, wait. What I mean is, making a sustainable income online is a long term project. I don’t want you to get the notion that making money online quick is common or a long term solution because it isn’t. Now having said that, I do know some places you can legitimately make some quick cash. If I needed a $100 within a few days and had no other means to get it, this is the program I would use.

Many people make full time incomes from home by selling things on Ebay. When I used Ebay for income, I visited Garage sales, Estate auctions and classified sites like Craigslist for stuff to resell. You can still make money this way, but it’s not as easy as it once was now that eBay has increased their listing fees and the auctions are full of commercial companies auto listing their products.

Do you also realize that there are people that have no Sam’s Club or Cosco nearby? These people shop the internet for household items you and I take for granted. There are many people on eBay who do nothing but buy bulk items at these Warehouse stores and resell them. Sometimes they break the bulk items down into single units, other times they can sell the whole product at a nice profit. Again, make sure you know what you can buy a product for, how much it will cost you to ship it and the price range of what you can get for it. You don’t want to be sitting on a basement full of Tang you bought from Cosco!

Another way many people are making money with Ebay is starting their own online stores and populating them with products and ebay auctions.
