bansGoogle and BANS. Once we thought this was a match made in Heaven. Nowadays, if you’re a BANS owner, you probably think you’ve been in affiliate marketing Hell. First there was the Ebay Partner Network canning hundreds of eBay affiliates, many who had Build A Niche Storesites up, and now Google has been either penalizing or out right deindexing BANS sites from the SERPS.

Yeah, for some of you BANS owners, it’s been a pretty tough last few months.

Why You Must Have a Privacy Policy On Your Blog

You’ve probably noticed the Privacy Policy post below. You may be wondering why I posted it there. Well, the truth is because I’m old and getting absent minded!

Every blog or website you build should have a Privacy Policy and a Terms and Conditions or a Terms of Usage page.

Why?

Because not only is it good netiquette but it will also help you out with ranking in many of the Search engines. Yahoo and MSN are sticklers for a Privacy Policy and Terms page. I thought I had already put those pages up here, but apparently I overlooked them.

questions to ask an seo companyI was browsing a small business forum the other day and noticed a post by a business owner. The business owner had hired a “SEO Expert” to increase their rankings in the Search Engines. After nearly a year, their website was no where near the top of any Search Engine.

He emailed his site to me to take a look at it for him. It only took a second looking at the source to realize this guy had hired the wrong person to do SEO on their website. A quick look at his site with my Firefox SEO extension showed no backlinks.

Optimize Your Links and Images For Higher Rankings

As I browse the Web any given day, I look at how Webmasters and Blog owners optimize their pages (or DON’T). One thing I keep seeing is the lack of optimized links. Google loves optimized links and images. In fact, I’ll go as far as saying that with all things being equal, a site with optimized links and images will outrank the ones that aren’t optimized every time.

With Google AdsenseSmart Pricing” continuing to cut into many blog and website owners income, a wise Internet Marketer will look over the alternatives to Adsense.

Smart pricing as Google calls it, was allegedly an attempt to increase “value” for advertisers. From what I can tell, no one can tell exactly how “Smart Pricing” works. From the discussions on many of the forums lately, Adsense revenues are falling further and further for site owners.
