Dealing With The Latest Google SERPS Shake Up

If you’ve been watching your Google rankings any at all lately, you may have noticed your website going up and down in the SERPS like a Yo-Yo. Don’t be alarmed. Most everyone’s sites were affected by the latest SERPS earthqake.

No one is real sure what the deal was/is with Google. Some speculation was that it was a PR update, some said that Google is changing its algorythm while some others said they were changing their inbound link filters as it apply’s to your inbound links.

Why You Must Have a Privacy Policy On Your Blog

You’ve probably noticed the Privacy Policy post below. You may be wondering why I posted it there. Well, the truth is because I’m old and getting absent minded!

Every blog or website you build should have a Privacy Policy and a Terms and Conditions or a Terms of Usage page.

Why?

Because not only is it good netiquette but it will also help you out with ranking in many of the Search engines. Yahoo and MSN are sticklers for a Privacy Policy and Terms page. I thought I had already put those pages up here, but apparently I overlooked them.

Is Adsense Still A Good Choice To Monetize Blogs?

For many new bloggers, they invision having a custom made blog theme all decked out with the latest colors and graphics with the coolest plugins and a RSS subscriber base numbering in the 5 digits. Many also imagine raking in thousands of dollars per month by monetizing a blog with Adsense.

These illusions are quickly shattered when they see their Adsense accounts with .05 and .20 cents per click and a CTR of 1%. It doesn’t take the newbie blogger long to realize that their dream of living of off Adsense income isn’t a reality.
