Informative post! Thanks.

This validates my own preference in writing style as I tend to let the fingers fly sometimes. Your SEO points lead me consider whether I should write short post for immediate conversation benefits or longer post for SERP benefits.

Your post puts another tool in my bloggers belt and lets me know long post work.

I have linked to it in the "articles" page on my new blog.

Thanks again

This is an excellent post. Some people think you should stick to the traditional way writing, 200 -600 words. Some say as long as it's necessary to convey the idea (but what is necessary).

Based on your finding, writing a post should also consider SEO.

I think the same principle goes for landing pages to sell some product. Those who are not interested will go aways fast anywy. Those who are interested and want to buy want to have a lot of information just to be sure about their decision.

While this is true for the most part... you will notice that a lot of the more popular posts are longer.. and you will notice that the ones that provide in-depth information are the ones that other webmasters are going to link to. It all depends...
